Some of the top female snowboarders in the world gathered at Mammoth Mountain last weekend for the Roxy Chicken Jam. Riders were competing, not just to win the Chicken Jam, but to be named the Ticket To Ride Global Champ.
Kelly Clark kept up her strong season with another win. Clark dominated in the pipe with her signature big amplitude and a frontside 900 to frontside 720 to cab 720 in her run. Japan’s Rana Okada took second, and Elena Hight took third. Clark also won the Zumiez Best Trick award for her frontside 900.
Jamie Anderson, hot off a US Open Rail Jam win, won the slopestyle competition. Her winning run included a backside 540, switch backside 540, cab 540 and a boardslide 720 on a rail. Janna Meyen-Weatherby and Jenny Jones rounded out the podium. Raewyn Reid won the Zumiez Best Trick award for 50/50 to backside 180.
In the Mascot Competitionm it was the NPG Cable Cheetah, worn by Trevor Jacob, that took first with a frontside 540 and inverted front 720. The Hot Dog, worn by Luke Wynen, took Best Trick for his McTwist.
Finnish rider Enni Rukajärvi won $50,000 and the title of TTR World Champ. Rukajärvi won the European Roxy Chicken Jam.
