I spent the past few days at the beach relaxing and working on my tan….and amazingly working on my fitness too! Just because I’m on vacation isn’t an excuse to drop the ball on the Winter Fitness Challenge!
I’ve been using the Nike Training Club app as a key part of my fitness routine during my Winter Fitness Challenge, and one of the best things about NTC is that you can do it anywhere.
I’ll be honest and say I didn’t bring my weights and my medicine ball down to the beach with me, but it’s easy enough to find some alternatives laying around the house. Canned beans anyone? Plus most of the cardio workouts don’t require any equipment at all.
Doing training while I’m on vacation might not be the most fun thing in the world, but with the junk I’ve been eating I definitely need to workout! I know I am a creature of habit and if I break my routine, it’s going to be harder to get back into it. So having a workout plan that travels well is awesome!
I had plenty of space in the house and the beach to do my workouts, but I also think I’d have no problems doing this in a hotel room either. In fact, many hotels are equipped with fitness rooms and luckily you have your trainer along in your pocket.
I’ve been really happy with my training using Nike Training Club. It’s been great to add some toning and lifting exercises to my triathlon training…which happens to be this Sunday, hurricane permitting!
