Kelly Clark edged Elena Hight by a mere .33 to win her 3rd consecutive XGames Gold. Hight had thrown down a history making backside ally-oop double rodeo 900 that had put her into the lead for most of the Women’s Final. Still Kelly Clark managed to pull off the win on the last run of the night. Clark’s run featured her signature amplitude with technical tricks like frontside 1080 to a cab 720 to a frontside 900.

“It’s amazing being here and claiming gold for the third time in a row.” Said Clark. “I only won by a small margin, but tonight was not about my win, it was what Elena has done for Women’s Snowboarding, I’m so proud of her.”

16 year old XGames rookie Arielle Gold, who made the finals after Gretchen Bleiler withdrew for medical reasons, took the Bronze.
