Mountain High has earliest opening in its history

Posted by & filed under gossip.

California’s Mountain High has joined the flurry of US mountains opening early this season. After a storm dropped 18 inches of snow overnight, the ON buttons on the mountain’s chairlifts were hit at noon today (Wednesday).

“When I went to bed it was fall and when I woke up it was winter. You can’t believe the amount of snow that fell overnight,” said marketing director John McColly.

It’s the earliest that the mountain has ever opened – it usually doesn’t take its first skiers and snowboarders until November.
