T4 are looking for boys and girls who don’t mind a bit of cold weather to take part in a new show called BASE 24-7. It will involve a group of people, all from different countries, being flown to the Arctic Circle for a number of endurance challenges. Alongside that there will also be gigs and lots of fun to be had all presented by T4’s Steve Jones.
Traditionally most ski resorts take ski school pupils from the age of three but snowboarders usually have to wait a few years longer. Now Intrawest, which owns Stratton Mountain, Mountain Creek, Mont Tremblant, Copper Mountain, Winter Park and Whistler/Blackcomb is using the Burton Learn to Ride method to get three and four years olds on boards.
Aberdeen’s new ¬£2.3 million artificial ski centre was hit by vandals at the weekend. The facility was temporarily put out of action after a gang of youths vandalised the chair lift.

MONO, the bite-sized boardsport TV show presented by O’ Neill, returns to the MTV Europepean network this season for a new 10 part series. MONO will broadcast from the end of November 2004 through to April 2005. It’ll feature a heap of boardsport footage including snow, surf and skate action. Also look out for an O’Neill/MTV contest slot with VIP trips to major O’Neill events as the major prize.
The Orange AIM Series is visiting another ten schools around the United Kingdom this November. Due to the support of Snowlife.org.United Kingdom, the guide to United Kingdom Snowsport, and the success of the tour in the North of England the team of British skiers and snowboarders will be spending a day at each of the schools.
You’ve probably heard mutterings about Snowboard Club United Kingdom which launches later this month, but now full details of the club have been revealed.
