Kupcake.com – a new United Kingdom based clothing website for girls has just gone live. The site has a good range of clothing and accessories from Nikita, Mambo, Addict, Voodoo Dolls, Westbeach and Insight and to celebrate the launch, delivery on all United Kingdom orders is free until the end of October. So show the girls some love and go shopping!
Dropstitch – the all-girl snowboard movie – and the new Snowboard Club are celebrating their launch with a big party in London on October 15th. That’s the same day as the AIM Best of British contest at the Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Show and the Dropstitch premiere so it’s definitely a day for celebration.
The party is being held at the Westonefour Club which is upstairs from the Fox Pub, at 3 Northend Crescent in West Kensington – not far from Olympia. The party runs 10pm to 2am and the DJs include snowboarders Dom Harington and Scott Nixon.

The Red Bull Rail Storm took over Glasgow’s George Square on Saturday September 25th – much to the delight of Scotland’s snowboarders and much to the bemusement of the Europepean tourists who were trying to get their pictures taken by the stone lions in the square.

The Burton crew were in London on Tuesday night for the United Kingdom stop of the Burton World Tour. International luminaries including Terje Haakonsen, Heikki Sorsa and Jussi Oksanen were amongst the riders to join the United Kingdom Burton team at the Clapham Grand.
Not long now to the Red Bull Rail Storm contest in Glasgow. If you’re heading to the event (which is ticket-only) make sure you get there early as the United Kingdom Pro/Am Jam at 3.20 on Saturday to cheer on the Brits.
Six amateur riders gained places in the jam through their performance at the Orange AIM Series this summer.
Xscape Castleford are holding a pre-Red Bull Rail Storm event on Thursday September 23rd where you can meet seven of the American pro riders who are in the United Kingdom for the Glasgow event.
Zach Leach, Kyle Clancy, Travis Rice, Hana Beaman, Pat Morre, Kevin Cassillo and Scotty Lego will all be checking out the Xscape Freestyle Park and will be around to offer tips to people on the slope that night. Travel schedule permitting, the guys hope to be on the slope from around 7pm.
A record number of snowboarders and skiers piled down to Milton Keynes for the Orange AIM Series Indoor Boarder/ Skiercross Championships, in association with O’Neill, on Saturday.
The boardercross took place on a tight course and the women’s final race came down to a tense race between local girl Laura Berry and Katie Young. But Laura had the edge and won the race and the championships.
Top US pro Hannah Teter joined the girls at Wanaka’s Snow Park NZ for the second Snow Girls Camp on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th.
The 31 participants enjoyed two days of fun, quality coaching, confidence building, pipe, box, rail riding and more.
Norwegian boardercross pro Line Ostvold has died following an accident during the Valle Nevado FIS World Cup event in Chile.¬† The 26-year-old fell during a practice session before the boardercross event. She¬†was taken to hospital and then flown to Santiago but died of her head injuries.¬† The Hoenefoss rider was World champion in 2002 and had won several World Cup events.
