Burton has brought back some old favorites as well as launching new boards and new tech into their lineup. Their newest board is the Social, a park board for progressing riders that can be ridden 1 to 2 cm shorter than your normal board.
Burton is moving towards using the Channel in all of their boards, but it will still be offered in the beginner and lower end boards. Last year they offered the Feelgood with 3D or the Channel, but for 2010 it will only be available in the Channel. You can still use normal bindings with Channel boards, provided they are Burton bindings.
Reverse camber has fully invaded the Burton women's line. It made its debut this season in the late release Lip-Stick, which will be back as a full production board in 2010. Burton has 3 different types of reverse camber technologies for 2010: V-Rocker for all around riding, S-Rocker for freeriding, and Party Rocker for park. The Feelgood V-Rocker (there's a non-rocker Feelgood too), Lip-Stick, Blender, Social, Malolo, and Fish are all rockered.
Burton is introducing two new freestyle bindings - the Scribe EST and the Molotov EST. Gabi Viteri was involved with designing the Molotov EST and she wanted something for pressing and buttering. So the Molotov got a winged hi-back that provides lateral support as you shift your weight to press the board. The perforated leather on the straps looks amazing, too.
The Scribe EST is Burton's entry level EST binding and comes with the new freestyle specific Asym strap, which is on the Molotov as well. The Lexa gets upgraded with new baseplate cushioning. The Stiletto gets the new Canted Living Hinge hi-back.
Escapade EST get the new SuperBED which is thin hard composite over the top of EVA and B3 Gel. This provides responsiveness and cushioning. It also gets the UltraStrap Air, which has litttle air pocket pilows for cushioning.
Burton added a new beginner boot, the Coco. They are also introducing lots of new tech to their existing lineup with improvements to the liners and cushioning systems.
