The view from…Breckenridge

Hello from Breckenridge, Colorado where I’ve been attending a two-day women’s Pipe and Park camp run by the resort’s Ski and Ride School.

More than 20 girls took part in the camp which hit the jumps, rails, boxes and pipe in the resort’s two fantastic beginner terrain parks.

Our first day saw us ditch our jackets at the top of the park as we hiked its features in bright sunshine. Sunday saw a drizzle of new snow. It hasn’t snowed here for a while but the base is still pretty nice and forgiving and immaculately groomed. Saturday was noticeably busier on the mountain too but on Sunday the wide open blue and green groomers were pretty clear – giving us plenty of space to practice our ollies and 180s.

If you fancy picking up some new skills with the female instructors here they’re holding a Working Women’s Ski & Ride Camp on March 6 and 7. It is aimed at intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders and includes two full days of on-mountain instruction (including video analysis), lunch both days, a welcome reception on the Thursday night, cocktail party on the Friday and celebration dinner on the Saturday.  The camp costs $255 without a lift pass or $333 with a pass included.

We’re off to Vail today to check out the mountain and village there. According to the snow report they got about three inches of new snow overnight with more to come today. Yey!

It's cute that you get so excited over 3inches of snow. Didn't you just get double that in London?
