Snow-Camp launch two new fundraising challenges
Snow-Camp, the charity taking children from disadvantaged British backgrounds to the Alps, has launched two money-raising schemes to help it raise cash for next year's trips.
From November 19 to 21 they're holding their first UK Snowball Rally. This involves riding as many of the UK's 43 artificial and indoor ski slopes in three days as possible. Anyone can enter a team and there are cups and trophies for the winners and best fundraisers. Anyone can enter a team and there'll be a party at the end of the three days at SNO!Zone Milton Keynes. Teams are also invited to keep a video diary of their exploits and the best will win a week's holiday in Les Deux Alpes for the whole team.

Next up there's the Everest Challenge Ski-a-thon which will be taking place in the Austrian Alps from January 29 to 31. The challenge is to ski the vertical height of Everest twice in two non-stop days of skiiing or snowboarding across four resorts. Participants ride from dawn to dusk, whatever the weather, aiming to ski 57,000 vertical feet over the weekend. If you commit to raise funds for Snow-Camp it will cost just £185 for all flights, lift passes, guides, food and hotels.
