Dancing With Louie Vito - Week 2

Louie Vito danced his way into the 2nd week of Dancing with the Stars. Louie and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, had the jive this week. They are the youngest and least ballroom-y of the group. This week they danced to "Crash" by The Primitives.

We finally got so see Louie with a flashy costume! Sorta. Sadly the rhinestones were limited to a fleur-de-lis design on his black t-shirt. He also wore a black leather jacket that looked way to big and rather cumbersome. Chelsie looked cute in a short frilly red skirt.

Once again Louie had a huge grin on his face the whole time. He started off the number by doing a flip from the stage that went over Chelsie's head and landed on the dance floor. I guess the jacket wasn't too cumbersome.

The jive is a fun, fast-paced dance and for the most part Louie and Chelsie delivered. There were a few times that Louie seemed a little off but he never lets it show on his face. Seriously, the big goofy grin never wavers.

Louie and Chelsie ended up scoring a 19. They generally had good comments and the judges remarked about how joyous their performance was. Bruno commented on how Louie has the ability to dance and needs to use it more. Baz and Carrie Ann both noticed that there were points when the dancing was lacking.

A score of 19 put them towards the bottom of the pack, and in the results show Louie and Chelsie were in the bottom three. However they were the first couple declared safe and ultimately Kathy Ireland was eliminated.

I guess cute isn't quite enough these days. Maybe Louie needs to be sexed up a bit for Week 3?

On a side note - Karina consistently has the most horrendous outfits. Please stop.
