Kevin Pearce remains in critical condition

According to news reports over the last couple of days, pro rider Kevin Pearce is still in a critical but stable condition in hospital following a halfpipe accident.

He was injured in the pipe in Park City, Utah, on December 31 and is now in the intensive care unit of the University of Utah Hospital.

Reports say he caught an edge during a cab double cork. He was wearing a helmet.

We have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from Kevin's friends, family, and fans from every corner of the world," his parents said in a statement.

There are also several groups of Facebook including one with more than 17,000 members sending their well wishes to Kevin.

This group also report that doctors said yesterday that they were pleased with the progress he's making.
