Burton Movie Tour Stops in Chicago

The Burton Movie Premier Tour rolled into Chicago Monday night running on fumes. Heikki Sorsa missed a flight and nearly the entire Chicago event.  Nico admitted he was tired and was next off to the beach. But then the fans showed up at the Burton Chicago Flagship store and everyone turned on their inner celebrity.  Joining Heikki and Nico were Natasza Zurek, Frederik Kalbermatten, and Shaun White.  The autograph line lead down from the 4th level to the main floor, and all the fans got to meet the line-up.

After the autograph session the party moved over to Rockit Bar for the showing of It’s Always Snowing Somewhere and a few Corona’s.  The film was solid and it was nice to see the pros ripping it and pushing limits.  Interestingly enough the movie starts off with Gigi Ruf giving a little wrap-up on a trip he had taken. I can’t help but to wonder how many people in the place knew that in a matter of hours the story would break that he was leaving the team for Volcom.

All ironies aside the night was great. Thanks to the crew of MidwestRepresent.com and the crew at the Chicago flagship store. Also to Candice, Niyyah, and everyone who has been at the flagship store since it opened—congratulations on your first year.
