Here’s our latest update from the SASS crew in Argentina:

This last week the girls at SASS got together for a Signature MGT Sponsor Me night. Organized by the coolest girls on the planet, our SASS pro coaches,Robin Van Gyn, Nat Gough, and Michelle Parker, laid out the real deal for how to get your boot in the door.

Each of the coaches put together a timeline of their career, mapping out what they did to make it big.

“We did this presentation because all the time when I'm coaching girls I get, 'Hey, how do you get sponsored? How do you get a photographer? How do you get your name out there?' And it's hard to tell them in one chair lift ride,” said Robin Van Gyn.

“I thought it'd be cool to break it down for them, like a science, so they know what's up. We're giving them the tools they need so if they want to pursue a career in snowboarding or if they want to just shred and have fun what they need to do to progress.”

“Here are three girls, living in the same room, that are all sponsored, that have established themselves, and definitely have life experience that they can share with people. So why not put a little presentation together,” said Nat Gough.

“And the cool thing was that there wasn't really any guidelines, so all of our presentations were kinda different.”

“I've learned a lot over the years and what I just shared with them was the knowledge I've gotten throughout my career,” said Michelle Parker.  “It took me five years to gain that. It's important to share that stuff and let girls know that it's totally possible.”

Laced with cheese and wine, the girls gathered round for a little 'Q&A', learning all about how these pros came to be. Everyone was glued to the screen, intensely listening to what the teachers had to say.

“It's kinda nice to have someone showing you what to do, all the steps, stuff like that,” said camper Susie Kubik. “You don't get a hand out like that all the time. Most of the time you feel like you're in it on your own.”

“After this presentation I'm so pumped to ride and super excited aboutvtomorrow,” added Jenna Clements.

SASS is in a unique position to have all these female rippers together under one roof, shredding pow in the Southern Hemi. The night was an awesome opportunity for lots of stories to be shared. For most the girls, it's the first time they've been able to ride with an all girl posse.

“I ride with Robin sometimes in Calgary and she's always been super rad,” said Jenna Mae. “Seeing her in action in the backcountry, because I only see her in the park, is amazing. So inspirational.”

“Pretty much we were like a rouge girls crew shredding on the mountain and wherever we went people were like.... it was like head turns. Everywhere! We could not go unnoticed. It's wicked to be with such a huge girls crew,” said Robin.

“Everybody just feeding off of each others energy and really sending it in a really non intimidating environment. That was probably my favorite thing about this session for sure.”

“The ones (los chicos) we met on the jump, we kind of took over their session and showed them all up. They didn't like it.  They wanted us to leave. They were quite embarrassed,” said Tory Browne.

Any last words of advice for these luscious ladybugs from Nat Gough....

“Just stay true to yourself. Whatever you want to do with your snowboarding, as long as you’re having fun it doesn't matter where you’re taking it to.”
