Top US pro Hannah Teter joined the girls at Wanaka’s Snow Park NZ for the second Snow Girls Camp on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th.
The 31 participants enjoyed two days of fun, quality coaching, confidence building, pipe, box, rail riding and more.
Britain’s Zoe Gillings has won the first FIS boardercross FIS World Cup event of the 04/05 season.
In the event at Chile’s Valle Nevado, 19-year-old Gillings beat Kathrin Kellenberger (SUI), Austrian Manuela Riegler and Lindsey Jacobellis (USA) in the women’s final run to win her first World cup event.
Canada’s Drew Neilson took the crown in the men’s event.

Three ace ladies won awards at the 6th Annual TransWorld Snowboarding Riders’ Poll Awards last week. ThirtyTwo rider Janna Meyen was chosen Rider of the Year in a poll voted for by 100 of the World‚Äôs top professional snowboarders. Janna had a fantastic season in 03/4 – claiming X Games gold in slopestyle, 1st place at the Triple Crown and 1st in both slopestyle and the rail ram at The Session in Vail. ‚ÄúThis means a lot to me,‚Äù she said when she went to collect her award. ‚ÄúSometimes I feel like I get overlooked. Robot Food‚Äôs latest film, Afterlame, made its World premiere on September 3rd hosted by Westbeach the shop and Bonfire in Vancouver, BC, Canada to a packed theatre of anxious snowboarders. The film was hand delivered out of the Robot Food editing room in Portland, OR that very same morning.
Amongst the audience members to view Afterlame for the first time was rider Chris Engelsman, one of the talented riders from the film.
