Nike 6.0 are looking for their next UK Media Apprentice. Every year they give one up and coming filmer or photographer the chance to work with the Nike 6.0 team for a year, travelling to events and competitions in the UK abroad. The chosen apprentice will get to meet movers and shakers in the action sports industry and have their work featured in magazines, online and on television too.
We were chuffed to get a message recently telling us that Snow Camp have been nominated for a Beyond Sports Award.
Every year Snow Camp take children from all economic, geographic and ethnic backgrounds to the Alps to experience the magic of the mountains and snowsports. They also grow confidence and make new friends through a life skills course while they’re there.
I bumped into 2009 X Games Slopestyle Gold Medalist Jenny Jones at the Salomon booth. I was with her when she noticed the writing on the display that said "Jenny Jones 2009 X-Games Gold Medalist". Jenny seemed a little shocked to see it in writing. I don’t think her win had really sunk in yet!

I spent part of last week in Las Vegas for the annual Snowsports Industry Association’s show. You’ve probably heard it called SIA, and this was the last Vegas show before it all moves to Denver.
I arrived in Vegas late on Tuesday night and was picked up by Tali, our West Coast Correspondent and my partner-in-crime at the show. We went to check into the Mandalay Bay and got upgraded from a regular room to a posh suite in theHOTEL. SIA was starting out well.
