Anne-Flore Marxer has made a name for herself in the freeride world in just one short season. Known more for her freestyle skills, AFM entered and won her first Freeride World Tour event at Chamonix as a wildcard entry. Marxer’s win got her an invite on the Tour and she went on to place third or better in all four events she entered. Those top finishes earned her the title of 2011 Freeride World Champion in her rookie season.
“This title makes all my efforts this season worth it,” said Marxer. “The Freeride World Tour has been a great experience. I can’t wait to come back next year!”

Brits in America has been following British freestyle skiers and snowboarders as they train in America, one of which is Ms. Jones. In this episode Jenny talks about her injuries and training for and competing in the X Games as she tried, unsuccessfully, to three-peat. Jenny Jones won the Silver medal in Slopestyle at the X Games last weekend.
Kelly Clark made history at the X Games in Aspen on Saturday night becoming the first woman to land a 1080 in competition. With a fabulous first run, Kelly claimed the top spot and would never relinquish it. As the final competitior (thanks to her top score in qualifiers) and the Gold medal guaranteed, Clark's 3rd run was a victory lap. Clark had been landing 1080s in practice but would she do it for the crowd?
