Five years ago this week I managed to put together something resembling a website, called it powderroom.net and put it in the internet.

It has been a mental 60 months since and in that time soooo many amazing people have helped the site grow and become the biggest and best girlie global snowboarding community.

As we turn five I’d like to thank everyone who has ever visited the site or helped us in any way but there are just a few special mentions to come as part of that (no Gwyneth Paltrow-style tears, I promise...)

Thanks to Lorene Voskinarian our uber-talented web developer without whom this site would not have existed for the past four years. Her brilliant development, repair and design skills are utter invaluable as is her endless patience with my ability to break things and ask the stupidest questions. A massive virtual bag of Cadbury's Mini Eggs goes to her today for all her amazing work.

Thanks to Alex Hincks - also known as AlextheBird - who has been soothing your eyeballs for the last three years with her fabulous website designs and colour palettes. She has also russled up t-shirts, icons, wallpapers, a knitting guide, banners, stickers and a party decoration kit all in the powderroom stylee. She's ace!
