I currently ride a Burton Feelgood 144 and I'm planning on getting the Roxy Eminence C2 BTX this season.  It, however, comes in a 143 and 146.... and I'm not sure which size to get!  My weight falls into both recommended board weight ranges.  I'm 5'1'' and 127 lbs.  I'm an intermediate to advance rider and rarely do park (small jumps here and there).  I like groomers and powder with an occasional run through the trees.  I'm able to do almost all runs on the mountain (but I can't guarantee that it'll look pretty!).  I do like to pick up speed, so the 146 is really tempting, but I think it might be a little too big for me (I'm a shorty!).  I've been doing a lot of research, but keep getting mixed answers from people in shops around my area (size down with banana/rocker? size up for my weight and more speed?).

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I can only go with my own experience on this one, i used to ride a 157 board (i'm 5ft8) and people said it was too big for me. I found it great in the pow and for getting speed up on the piste. when i rarely found myself in the park it did the job fine too. Last season i switched to a 154 board because i wanted to get a bit more into park and found that going that bit smaller really helped then.

If I were you i think i'd go for the bigger board those few cm's will make a decent difference on the powder and for charging and if your not big on freestyle than play it safe. If your thinking of getting more into the freestyle go shorter. If you got decent technique it wont make powder riding any harder.

Hope this is helpful!
