Absinthe Films will release their 8th 16mm film - Optimistic? - this forthcoming season.

Their filming year saw a ton of team rider developments. Romain de Marchi returned to the fold after a season out through injury while Danny Davis and Annie Boulanger joined the crew for the first time.

In Europe three new members were added to the family: Marco Feichter from Austria, three new members to the family were also added - Hans Ahlund from Sweden and Sylvain Bourbousson from France.

The lack of snow in Europe around Christmas time forced the riders and filmers to hit the road to find some white stuff. Nelson, BC became home for a large part of the crew (including Gigi Rüf). At the same time Mike LeBlanc was jibbing downtown New York.

In February and March, multiple little missions took place. David Vladyka, Absinthe filmer from Lausanne, travelled to Russia with Nico Droz, Sylvain Bourbousson and Alex Evecoz. Danny Davis, JP Solberg, MFM and Romain de Marchi headed to the Alaskan resort of Juneau, while other riders also hit the northern state later in the season.
