The TTR World Tour is heading to the Austrian resort of Mayrhofen from March 1 to 8 for the five star Ästhetiker Wängl Tängl.
The Jam format event features a skate-inspired slopestyle contest with a $50 000 USD prize purse, 850 TTR Ranking Points and a brand new Suzuki RM-Z-250 motocross bike up for grabs..
Current TTR World No. 7 Iouri Podladtchikov from Switzerland will be competing and could move up within the TTR Top Ten. Arthur Longo from France, who won the three Mathieu Crepel Invitational could also move into the TTR Top 15 with a good result in Mayrhofen.
Jean-Jacque Roux, also from France, will be looking for a place in the Swatch TTR Top 50 at the Wängl Tängl along with Ville Uotila (FIN) and Jaakko Ruha (FIN). Other riders who could also be troubling the podium include Martin Cernik (CZE), Peter Stroem (SWE), Danny Wheeler (GBR) Wolle Nyvelt (AUT), Tonton Holland (SUI), Stefan Gimpl (AUT) and long time competitor Ingemar Backman (SWE).
On top of the slopestyle session, the event will also feature a skate contest on Friday March 7, an art exhibition, live music and concerts scheduled throughout the week.
There’s a three day window for qualifications and the semis and finals take place on Saturday March 8.
Coming down to the last legs of the Tour, riders still have many chances to earn a great deal of points to get in on the $250, 000 end-of-season Swatch TTR prize purse and go for the TTR Championship Title, the recipient being announced at the six star Burton US Open.
