Give the late night shopping a miss this Thursday if you’re in Hull and head to the city’s first ever real snow street session instead.
The session will happen in Saville Street and Queen Victoria Square and is being organised by SNO!zone Castleford.
More than 22 tonnes of real snow is being dumped in the city centre for the rail jam after being transported from the indoor real snow slope inside Xscape, Castleford, just off the M62.
Damian Doyle, Slope and Freestyle Event Co-ordinator said: “After the success of Street Sessions in Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh, we're really looking forward to bringing snow to Hull and creating our biggest set-up yet. It’s great to be working in conjunction with local retailer ‘Board Patrol’ who are really keen to help put the sport in front of more people!”
Top British freestyle riders will be ataking part and there’ll be live DJs entertaining the crowds.
“With the big screen as a backdrop, we'll be seeing some amazing tricks from the UK's best snowboarders and skiers on the rails,” added Damian. “With the event starting at 5pm, we are hoping to catch workers on their way home, late night shoppers as well as the hard core boarders and skiers to show them what SNO!zone is all about!”
The crowds will have the chance to win prizes including snow passes, lesson packages worth up to £200 and freestyle sessions to come and ride in the SNO!parks at SNO!zone Xscape, Castleford.
