Rip Curl Girls Tour to hit UK in January

The Rip Curl Girls Tour is back and will holding beginner ski and snowboard lessons and freestyle clinics in a selection of European resorts between January and March 2008.

The UK stops are at Milton Keynes Sno!Zone on the weekend of January 12 and 13 and then Glasgow Braehead Sno!Zone on January 26 and 27.

The tour offers something for riders of all levels – from complete beginners to more advanced riders. As well as taster sessions for first timers, there’ll  be freestyle clinics using a range of rails, boxes and kickers. Qualified instructors and the Rip Curl Pro team will be offering tips on style and technique throughout the sessions.

Once the girls have honed their skills, they can take part in the Tricks’n’Fun contest. Open to all girls, this three-trick contest held on the second day will be judged by Alexandra Barrere and one of the instructors. Succeeding on your first trick is the only way to get through the contest.  A Rip Curl snowboard and mountainwear set-up are up for grabs for the snowboard and ski winners respectively.

There’ll also be DJs, demos of Apo Snowboards, a Mountain Environment Protection stand, a free goodie bag for all participants and a Rip Curl Girls Tour Party in the evening featuring photos from the day, a fashion show, videos and more music.

You’ll be able to register online from next week at www.ripcurl.com/girlstour
