SNO!Zone Castleford to host NPSCC ski and snowboard challenge

On May 17, a ski and snowboard challenge called Shred It is being held at SNO!Zone Castleford. It’s being organised by the Can You Hack It? team who set up challenge events in aid of the children’s charity the NPSCC.

The 12-hour ski and snowboard challenge is open to advanced and intermediate riders.  It’ll feature on and off slope challenges, time trials and various freestyle challenges. The slope will feature slaloms, moguls, and a host of rails and jumps and entrants will take part in teams of three (mixed groups of skiers and snowboarders are welcome).

Helen Verity community fundraising manager for the NSPCC said: “Shred It is a fantastic opportunity for keen skiers and snowboarders to take part in a truly unique event while raising money for vulnerable children. The 12-hour event will involve loads of challenging on-slope activities as well as live DJs on the slopes and in the SNO!bar to keep everyone entertained and exhilarated.

We have a limited amount of places available, so if you would like to take part please email Hackshreditchallenge@nspcc.org.uk or telephone: 0113 229 9313 for more information.”

Fran Hennessy, events manager at SNO!zone said: “This is the first time we’ve held such a an exciting and fun charity event here and we’re all really happy to be raising money for the NSPCC. We are working hard to devise a number of intermediate and advanced challenges to push competitors to the limit! It’ll be a fantastic day, so please contact us and book your place now!”
