Ed Gunn and Andy Rivers join Burton United Kingdom team

05 May 2005

Burton has signed two new riders to its British team.

Nineteen-year-old Ed Gunn stormed the Burton Black Metal rail comps back in November, winning his way to the Burton Europepean Open. There he showed his huge aptitude and resilience, riding with a broken foot and still killing it. He then went on to impress folk at the Brits with his ballsy and adaptable rail and kicker riding. Ed will be honing his skills in New Zealand this summer riding at Snow Park and also filming.

He will be riding Burton Dominant 154, Severn 158, Ion boots and Cartel bindings. Wearing Ronin and AK from Burton, Red protection and Anon goggles.

Fourteen-year-old Andy Rivers has had a string of great results from the Brits to the Burton Europepean Open this year. He is a member of both the British and McNab Junior Squads. Andy is a versatile and rare talent who not only rides park but is also equally at home in the pipe and backcountry. You will find him ripping it up in Les Deux Alpes this summer.

Andy will be riding Analog outerwear and streetwear, Burton hardgoods – Jeremy Jones 156, Shaun White Boots and C60s, Red protection and Anon goggles.

They join the Union Award winning Best British Team of Gary Greenshields, Hamish McKnight, James Thorne, Jono Wood and James Carr.
