There’s a Girls Shred Day taking place in Whistler on Saturday.

The plan is to meet at the Burton Women’s Store next to the Excalibur Gondola at 9am for some hot chocolate and then a day on the mountain for girls of all levels. There’ll be a chance to demo Burton’s 2009 women’s kit and giveaways throughout the day.

There’ll also be après wine and cheese and a chance to tell your ‘Because of Snowboard’ story and be in with a chance to win one of two snowboard holidays.

For every female rider taking part in the day. Showcase Snowboards will donate $5 to Boarding For Breast Cancer.
