Kelly Clark Wins World Cup Halfpipe at Cypress

Kelly Clark took first place at the FIS World Cup event at Cypress Mountain in British Columbia. This is the future site of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Clark said "This is probably the deepest field of athletes we have seen this year from any event. There were some incredible snowboarders here today."

Jiayu Liu of China broke up a repeat of the last World Cup Event by taking second place. She displaced Hannah Teter pushing her into the third spot while Gretchen Bleiler took fouth.

Clark's winning run was backside 5, frontside 7, cab 3, frontside 5, and backside air.

Shaun White won the men's competition.
