Canadian residents have until Friday to request Vancouver Olympics tickets
The request phase for Canadian residents to buy tickets for the Vancouver Winter Olympics ends on Friday.
This first phase of ticketing is your best chance to get hold of tickets for the Games in March 2010. There are more than 100,000 tickets costing just $25 and half of all Games tickets cost less than $100. Only 15% of the events are oversubscribed so far (with hockey being the most popular) and tickets for those events will be distributed by a lottery.
Any tickets not purchased during the initial request period will be re-released for sale exclusively to Canadian residents who submitted a request during this period and is an opportunity to purchase additional tickets before they're again made available to the wider Canadian public in February.
People outside Canada interested in attending the Games need to buy their tickets through the ticket agents for their National Olympic Committees.
