Torah Bright wins Pantene Young Woman of the Year Award

Snowboarder Torah Bright has won Austalia’s inaugural Pantene Young Woman of the Year Awards.

More than 220,000 votes were registered on the official website which acknowledged  the accomplishments of young women from all over Australia who achieved amazing feats in categories ranging from Business, Community, Fashion, Film, Music, Sport, Hairdressing, Design, and the New Face of the Year.

Chosen from the 9 category winners, the overall Pantene Young woman of the Year 2006 was awarded to the rider.
 
"Torah epitomises the energy and determination that young women wish to see as role models in today's world. We are really excited to have such an accomplished winner" said Melissa Bergin, co-founder of YEN magazine and the awards.
