Freeze TV to hit NZ TV screens on Wednesday

The best of New Zealand snow sports will beam into homes and bars throughout Australasia this week with the season launch of Freeze TV.

The first episode in the new series will check out what’s hip and happening for the 2007 New Zealand winter season.

There’s a sneak preview of two of the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest competitions -  the Burton New Zealand Open Snowboarding Championships and the Volkl New Zealand Free Ski Open - and the crew hooks up with US Olympic gold medallist Hannah Teter.

Two of New Zealand’s top freeskiers, brothers Jossi and Byron Wells hit Snow Park NZ for a winter warm-up and the cameras stake out opening day at Treble Cone to find out the strength of Wanaka’s work ethic when it comes to hitting the white stuff.

Freeze TV launches on Wednesday 4 July at 7.30pm on Sky Sport 2, followed by Thursday at 9.30pm on Sky Sport 1 and Prime TV on Saturday at 12.30pm. Australian viewers also get in on the action this week when the programme airs on Fuel TV.

Freeze TV plays for 20 weeks on Sky Sport, Fuel TV and Prime TV. It is also the winter programme of choice on the Air New Zealand international network as well as on Freedom Air.
