Where will you be spending the 2002/3 season?
I'll be riding mostly in Les Diablerts and Morgins.

What does your perfect snowboard look like/ ride like?
I helped to construct Nidecker's girl board "Princess 52" so this is for sure my favourite board because the size, shape and flex are just perfect for me. I like "aggressive" snowboards which are not too soft.

Does it bother you that the guys still get more press coverage and more prize money in some of the competitions?

I understand that guys are getting more prize money in some competitions because there also more guys competing. Would be good to have more girls coverage in the mags. For sure guys riding is more impressive but there are also girls who wanna see girls riding! It would be good to have a girls magazine like in the US or Australia.

Do you think there are any differences in the way girls and guys ride?
It's in their nature that guys have more power and are less scared. Most of the girls are thinking twice before they do something.

danielaclouds_1.jpg   What has been your most memorable or important competition result?
The first year (1999) I won the Australian Halfpipe Xtreme Games. I couldn't believe that I beat Tara Dakides and I was so surprised and stoked that I couldn't even speak to that TV guy who wanted to interview me!

What kind of fitness program do you have to prepare for the snow?
I do lots of sports all year around and sometimes I'm going to the gym to do some special muscles training for my back. It's important for me to keep my body fit but I think it's better to do a fun training
than to spend hours in fitness centres.

What's the best piece of snowboarding advice you've been given?

Listen to your body and watch the nature!

Is there any where you haven't ridden that you'd still like to go?
There are still many places to discover, I would like to see a bit more of Canada.

What are your favourite tunes to listen to when you're riding?
It depends where I'm riding and how I'm feeling but I like Morcheeba, Ozomatli and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Where's your favourite place to ride?
Les Diablerets.

What's your idea of the perfect day in the mountains?

Sunshine, powder on a steep mountain and nobody around.

Who inspires you?

My friends and nature

Who are your favourite riders?
Terje Haakonson, Heikki Sorsa, Jonas Emery, Pauline Richon and many more.

Any rookie girlies you see making it big in the next couple of years?
I would say Torah Bright and for sure this rad Iceland chick Yr, she's rocking!

Is there anything you'd like to achieve this season?
After three years of competing in the ISF Halfpipe World Pro Tour I would love to improve my riding in the backcountry and park.
