2010

So it begins. After returning from Utah in April, I have spent most of my time thinking about the snow. And finally, the Southern Hemisphere season in  New Zealand starts.

Coronet Peak in Queenstown was the first of the resorts to open on the 5th of June. So we thought we'd head on down and celebrate. Turns out, we weren't the only ones. Many of the
regular riders at my hill also made the 7 hour drive down for the weekend.

Season passes can be a big investment. While some resorts sell them for a couple hundred dollars others go for ten times that. One way to save money is to buy your pass early. Many resorts offer big discounts if you purchase your pass before the end of the season. As a bonus many even let you use it for the remainder of the season!

This season there are some especially good early bird deals to be had.

We got a chance to meet up with Anna from Rome and check out the whole lineup of 2010 gear for the ladies.

Our West Coast Correspondent, Tali, took a road trip from Tahoe to Vegas for her first visit to SIA. She's got a first-timers perspective on the products and the show.

With the death of Runway films it seemed like there would be no women's only snowboard films next season. Fear not.

Burton has so much gear it's too big to fit into one post. So we'll be previewing the women's hardgoods first.
