If I’d stuck to my original plans, I’d be finishing work this week and leaving in two. But my flight has already been moved to December. It’s only $50 to change it each time, and there’s no way I can leave just yet. Another three weeks of epic adventures has passed me by, and I don’t regret one minute of volunteering 14-hour days from 5am, nor smelling as bad as I did after living out a van and not showering for 5 days!

Mt Hutt to open on Saturday - two weeks early

New Zealand's killer season start is continuing with Mt Hutt planning to open this Saturday - a whole two weeks early. This week they've had a 25cm dump, giving them a decent 100cm base to kick off the season with.

Lesley McKenna and Cardrona holding high level freestyle snowboard camp

Lesley McKenna and Cardrona Mountain are holding the first ever OnTransition snowboard freestyle camp at Cardrona in 2009. The camp is aimed at riders already competing at national and international level.  The camp will be based in Wanaka on the South Island of New Zealand and the riders will ride the Cardrona World Cup half pipe and slopestyle park.
