Kelly Clark Wins Winter X Superpipe

Saturday night was a night of records on Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colo.  In front of a Winter X Games single-day record crowd of 41,800, Kelly Clark executed the first ever 1080 in Women’s Snowboard SuperPipe history to capture the gold.

If you are willing to spend a stupid amount of money you can get your hands on a Volcom Snowboard autographed by Elena Hight. The minimum bid is $1000 and it's benefitting Boarding for Breast Cancer, so it goes to a good cause. So far no one has bid on it.

Elena Hight joins Volcom team

We told you a while back that Elena Hight was changing teams and she has now arrived at Volcom. She’s been with Volcom streetwear since October 2005 and has now joined the team as a full snow team member.

"The best thing about the Volcom snow team is the family structure and to have such amazing people around me. I love the tight knit program that Volcom has and I feel so fortunate to be able to experience this and have the opportunity to fully embrace it," said Elena.

Teaser for all-girl Oakley movie Uniquely

Oakley have been filming with their team of female snowboarders, skaters and surfers and will be presenting the results in the movie Uniquely later in the year.

 

The film features the talents of  Marie-France Roy, Chanelle Sladics, Anne-Flore Marxer, Gretchen Bleiler, Angeli Vanlaanen, Elena Hight, Amber Wing, Lauren Perkins, Lynz Adams Hawkins, Claudia Goncalves, Karina Petroni and others.
