The Relentless Freeze Festival is dropping its load on London's Battersea Power Station in London again this October 29th to 31st with some of the biggest names in music running alongside the world's top snowboarders, an unmissable retail area, and of course plenty of pre-winter parties.

Relentless Freeze is the ultimate snow and music festival, bringing London into the winter season for the third year running. It boasts a 32 metre high big air jump, hosting the World Cup Snowboard Big Air in front of the epic backdrop of Battersea Power Station.

Some more news for you from the London Freeze Festival crew. They've launched a new portal at www.londonfreeze.com/lg/ with official event sponsor LG where you can get all the latest official and backstage news from the event. There's also the chance to take part in a range of interactive services and enter a bunch of neat competitions.

The UK’s biggest ever winter sports and music festival, Freesports on 4 Freeze sponsored by LG, is returning to London this autumn. Thankfully it's a different weekend to the Metro Ski and Snowboard Show this year and the event takes place at Battersea Power Station from October 30 to November 1.

The Metro Ski and Snowboard show has long been a big event in the calendar of us winter sports enthusiasts, but this year we’ve got two events to choose from – with London Freeze holding its inaugural event just across the river at Battersea Power Station.

Decisions, decisions, eh? I’ve been lucky enough to check out both events over the past couple of days and I suggest that (funds and time permitting) you do the same - because they are very different.

The Metro show is like an old friend. You know what to expect, some of the stands are even in familiar places and there are clothes, clothes, clothes – which is nice.

Turn up in Trafalgar Square in your snow gear on Sunday and win tickets to the London Freeze festival

Yes you might look like a muppet on the tube, yes you might swelter a bit on the number 159 bus if it’s sunny but, heck, there’s free stuff involved.

The organisers of the London Freeze say that if you turn up in Trafalgar Square at midday on Sunday October 29 you’ll win a day ticket to the event. There are also prizes from LG, Relentless and Armada to give away too.

They want you in full regalia – snowboard, boots, goggles – the lot (ie you can’t just turn up in a you snowboard gloves and your usually Sunday clobber).

Look out for the Freeze posters and the festival crew in the square.
