A new snowboarding game featuring Shaun White will hit the shelves this autumn.

Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide and now Ubisoft Montreal is developing Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage exclusively for the Wii.

No news yet on whether it'll be compatible like the current game but Ubisoft have said that players will be able to hit the slopes of top snowboarding competitions in France, Canada and Japan and also a halfpipe in Times Square, New York.

There's a big gaming conference in LA next week and Ubisoft are expected to release more info there about the game.

Much as I love the hula hooping and yoga on my Wii balance board, I was overjoyed to find out there was a ‘proper’ snowboarding game being developed for it. A snowboarding slalom game comes as part of the Wii Fit package but, as anyone who has played it will know, it only allows you to ride regular and it’s a pretty limited experience.

We’ve mentioned the upcoming Shaun White Snowboarding game for the Wii and other consoles several times before (can you tell we're excited?). It’s due out in the autumn and its developers Ubisoft are looking for a l’il audience participation to get it ready for release.

They’ve launched a design contest where users submit their own board designs and the best offerings (voted for by the public every two weeks) will be featured in the game.
As well as being featured in the game, the winners’ boards will also be made into real-life snowboards by Burton. You can also win prizes (Wii consoles, games and other goodies) by taking part in the voting process.
