hannah teter

As someone who can't hula hoop to save their own life, I'm very impressed by Hannah Teter's hula hooping skills. I'm also pretty jealous that's she's doing it on a beach in Hawaii.

Check out this video interview with Hannah Teter courtesy of Stratton Mountain.

Torah Bright won the gold medal in the women's halfpipe competiton. After falling on her first run, Bright had to lead off the second run. She made a statement with a clean technical run including a backside 360, switch backside 720,  and cab 720 that put her in first place with 45 points.  Hannah Teter had taken the lead in the first run with a score of 42.4.

Kelly Clark fell on her first run, but put down a very strong run with big amplitude and clean tricks to take the Bronze medal.

Hannah Teter, who won Gold in Torino, was the final competitor and dropped in with a chance to unthrone Torah Bright. She put down a run with big air, but didn't have the tricks to top Torah and took Silver.

First Hannah Teter got dressed up in designer duds for Glamour and now she's stripped down to a bikini for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The Olympian is featured with 3 other blondes inlcuding skiers Lindsey Vonn, Lacy Schnoor and snowboarder Claire Bidez in the spread called "Olympic Stars".  Ironically Bidez did not qualify for the Olympic team.

You can see the whole photo shoot on the Sports Illustrated site and check out the teaser videos below.

Glamour has a four page spread with Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark, Lindsey Jacobellis and Hannah Teter in the February 2010 issue.  I knew they were doing a shoot with some of the 2006 Olympians (and 2010 Olympic hopefuls), as Gretchen Bleiler had tweeted about it a few months ago. It's called the Great Olympic Glam-Up. You can check it out online or in the magazine scans below.

Kelly Clark won her 2nd US Grand Prix in a row and secured herself a spot on the US Olympic Team. Her winning run was a clean frontside air, backside 5, frontside 9, backside air, frontside 7, cab 7.

The US Olympic team will be decided by the top 2 finishes in Grand Prix events. With two first place finished, Clark has assured herself a berth on her 3rd Olympic team.

"I couldn't be happier with my result today and it's a privilege to be going to my third Olympic Games," said Clark. "It's a pretty overwhelming thing and I would just say I feel privileged right now to be 26 years old and heading to my third Olympics. It's a really incredible thing."

Ben & Jerry's has just released a new limited batch flavor - Hannah Teter's Maple Blondie. It's described as "Maple Ice Cream with Blonde Brownie Chunks & a Maple Caramel Swirl".

Teter also sells Hannah's Gold maple syrup through her non profit foundation that benefits poor communities in Kenya.

Maple Blondie will only be available for a limited time, so grab one fast and let us know how it is. But with 960 calories in a pint, we suggest sharing with friends so that your snowboarding pants will still fit.
