This is the first report from Heather, who will be providing occasional reports of her season in the Banff/Lake Louise area.
The recent news that Lake Louise in Canada had received a foot of fresh pow the day after I arrived had me instantly jumping for joy and smiling like the Cheshire cat. This was quickly followed by me skipping to my backpack to double check I was prepared for the following days excitement.
Having missed a snow season due to travelling around in search of swell and clean breaks, I was more than ready for half a year amongst the white and fluffy stuff. And where better to do it than Canada, the home of epic seasons? I arrived in Banff, Alberta the first week of December; the temperature was minus five and the landscape pristine white.
