Britain's longest-running snowboard magazine Snowboard UK has suspended publishing. Its editor has been made redundant and it won't appear on the shelves this forthcoming winter.

Not sure what your rights are if you have a subscription but there are contact details for Freestyle Consumer Media at freestyle-group.com if you need to get in touch.

You'll have seen Lorene's post a wee while back on the income of action sports athletes.

Onboard magazine’s 100th edition went on sale yesterday.

To mark the occasion they’ve created a slick special collector’s edition with a matt black cover with gold foil and 196 pages of features, photos and other stuff.

The issue includes a look at some of the key events in snowboarding’s history, from the riders involved. Think Heikki Sorsa’s world record air in 2001 and Terje boycotting the Olympics in 1998.

You can find out who the 400 riders who took part in the 100th issue poll selected as their most influential riders and see what the mag’s senior photographers selected as their most memorable shots.
