Roxy Chicken Jam

Some of the top female snowboarders in the world gathered at Mammoth Mountain last weekend for the Roxy Chicken Jam.  Riders were competing, not just to win the Chicken Jam, but to be named the Ticket To Ride Global Champ.

Kelly Clark kept up her strong season with another win. Clark dominated in the pipe with her signature big amplitude and a frontside 900 to frontside 720 to cab 720 in her run.  Japan's Rana Okada took second, and Elena Hight took third.  Clark also won the Zumiez Best Trick award for her frontside 900.

The Roxy Chicken Jam gets under way at Mammoth Mountain today. The competition will determine the overall TTR Women's World Champ. We've got a video edit from TTR previewing the competition.

Mammoth will be hosting the 6th Annual Roxy Chicken Jam from March 25-28. This is the last major stop on the Ticket to Ride Tour for the ladies and will likely determine the winner! Olympic Gold Medalist Torah Bright will be competing, as well as Roxy riders Amber Stackhouse, Lisa Wiik and Kjersti Buaas. There's also an open-registration Qualifier for amateur riders to try to earn a spot against the pros.

In addition to the pro slopestyle and superpipe competitions with the $50,000 prize purse, there are plenty of activities for attendees.

Kelly Clark didn't make the finals of the  Roxy Chicken Jam slopestyle competition but still managed to walk away $50,000 richer. Twenty-first place was good enough for Clark to surpass erstwhile TTR leader Jamie Anderson and become the Swatch TTR World Champion.

“It’s amazing. It was really a long shot for me heading into this weekend and to end up on top, it's really the icing on the cake to a great season” said Kelly about her Title win. “It’s really great to win the TTR Title.”
