Tignes to Host First Euro Winter X Games

The first Winter X Games held outside the US will be held at Tignes March 10-12, 2010 and presented with CANAL +.  The event will include halfpipe and slopestyle competitions for both snowboards and skiers.

All right, all right - it's getting beyond a joke now. 

I arrived in Tignes on Sunday and it's only just stopped snowing. I reckon we've had more than two metres of the white stuff in four days. 

In 20 years, I have never seen so much snow at this point in the season - it is unprecedented. 

Finally got a blue sky day on Thursday and - as you can see from the picture - the view was amazing. The snow was pretty damn good too. 

I'm here to do a piece with two of the rising stars of the British surfing scene - English junior champion Lewis Clinton, 17, and his 19-year-old brother Jack, who competes on the UK Pro Tour.

You know what it’s like. You’re getting ready for your day on the mountain and it’s your turn to carry the camera. You’re paranoid you’ll fall on it, drop it off the chairlift or take such bad pictures of your friends hitting the park that they’ll never speak to you again.

The first is headcam rentals – which can help you record hilarious action footage of you and your crew all over the mountain with a camera attached to your helmet.
